Workshop on "Agriculture Entrepreneurship and Youth Employment"
CHITWAN, 21 December 2021 - Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU) is organizing a one-day workshop on "Agriculture Entrepreneurship and Youth Employment" on 26th December 2021. Interested participants can register by logging into our website (https://www.afu.edu.np) to obtain a digital pass. The workshop will run from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The workshop aims to educate individuals with little or no knowledge about the agricultural sector. Topics will include the potential for income generation, various sectors within agriculture, and the challenges one might face. The goal is to encourage youth involvement in agriculture with proper knowledge and guidance.
Prof. Punya Prasad Regmi, Vice Chancellor of AFU, emphasized the importance of youth in agriculture. He stated, "Agriculture is the foundation of the house, while youth are its pillars. To make a house strong, both the foundation and pillars should be reliable. For an agricultural country like Nepal to flourish economically, both the agriculture sector and youth need to be strong."
AFU has consistently organized agriculture-related workshops to motivate farmers. This year, the focus has shifted to youth, aiming to educate them on agricultural entrepreneurship and employment opportunities.
This initiative reflects AFU's commitment to empowering the next generation and strengthening the agricultural sector, providing youths with the tools they need to succeed in agriculture.
